Ascent Everest
My mission is to create a vehicle that will combat the thin atmosphere on Everest. Everest is 29,000 plus feet. ….. The oxygen at that level is very very thin. The air is so thin that it is almost hard to breathe. Everest ascents are long and relatively expensive (about 80,000 per person). With the AE vehicle we can reduce that cost by eliminating the need for lengthy supply transports that have high cost.
Ascent Everest
Accent Everest is a self-propelled accent vehicle that is powered with an electric powered engine.This vehicle will have a pressurized cabin allowing the operator to ascend to high elevations quickly without risk of pressure risks or sickness. The vehicle will have a med bay for injured/ sick mountaineers. With constant relaying of information the vehicle will always show up on radar and maps making accidents ( if there are any) easier to locate.The mission will allow creation of five of these vehicles.
This vehicle will allow cleanup of the slopes of Everest. Everest has been explored for over 90 years. The mountain has gone through expeditions over and over. And unfortunately people have died on the accents. The mountain is littered with human bodies and trash from various expeditions. One of the mission’s goals is to clean the mountain and preserve the climbing heritage of the mountain.The mission also includes mountain rescues.The third goal of the AE is to explore the mountain. The mountain Is quite treacherous and hard to explore with traditional methods. The AE vehicle will explore the mountain and will find the safest of routes up the mountain.
The mission requires the surrounding villages of Everest to have electricity. Our plan to combat this is to wire electricity to the villages. Not only is this giving the AE a place to recharge but also helping the surrounding villages and granting electricity. To combat the steep and slick slopes of everest the vehicle will have treads with deployable spikes to stick to ice.
